Red Petrified Wood is the fossilized remains after millions of years of petrification where the wood has been buried by sediment, resulting in a beautiful stone. This stone consists of red to orange and white hues and works particularly well replicating Southwestern cliffs or submerged like a red wood forest.
Versatile Use - Great for creating miniature rock formations in your terrarium, vivarium, reptile or amphibian enclosure, aquarium, or anything else where natural rock is desired. They can also be glued together to create cliffs, benches, or used alone as miniature boulders.
Size - 20 pounds contains 3-9” size stones, and is recommended for tanks 7-13 gallons depending on your desired look. A general guide for the required amount for an aquarium is 2 x Tank volume in gallons = Total amount of pounds needed. Increase weight ordered for larger tanks or for a fuller appearance.
Natural Stone - Each piece will differ slightly from the image shown due to natural rock varying in shape and size.
Safe for Aquariums - Inert and won't change water parameters, but stones require a thorough rinsing prior to use.
