SubstrateSource Natural Stone for Features

  • Sand Stone is very detailed and mimics the weathered look of aged desert stone, complete with pronounced layers and striations that evoke decades of water-induced erosion. With these attributes, this stone is ideal for crafting a mature, canyon-style aquascape, or for your desert dwellers in dry tanks.

  • Versatile Use - Great for creating miniature rock formations in your aquarium, terrarium, vivarium, reptile or amphibian enclosure, adding to indoor or outdoor plants, giving wargaming miniatures a natural and realistic scenery, or anything else where natural rock is desired.

  • Size - 20 Pounds contains stones 3-8” and is recommended for tanks up 8-13 gallons depending on your desired look. We advise 2 x Tank volume in gallons = Total amount of pounds required for an aquarium. Increase weight for larger tanks or for a more full appearance.

  • Natural Stone - You will receive a starter set of mixed sizes, with each piece will differ slightly from the image shown due to natural rock varying in shape and size.

  • Safe for Aquariums - Inert and won't change water parameters, but stones require a thorough rinsing prior to use.
