7 CIRCULATED COINS FROM THE HELLENIC REPUBLIC. Old collectible coins were picked from the numismatic period: Third modern drachma (1982-2000). Each bag may have different years. You will receive a full set of Greek money: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 drachmas. Greek coins have these symbols: sea waves, a temple of Athena Nike (dedicated to the goddess Athena Nike), corvettes (boats), atoms, two crossed rifles, and many famous figures: Constantine Kanaris (Canaris was a Greek Prime Minister, admiral, and politician who in his youth was a freedom fighter in the Greek War of Independence); Georgios Karaiskakis (Georgios Karaiskos, was a famous Greek military commander and a leader of the Greek War of Independence); Democritus (an Ancient Greek pre-Socratic philosopher primarily remembered today for his formulation of an atomic theory of the universe. Democritus was born in Abdera, Thrace, around 460 BC, although there are disagreements about the exact year); Pericles (a prominent and influential Greek statesman, orator and general of Athens during its golden age – specifically the time between the Persian and Peloponnesian wars); Aristotle (philosopher and polymath during the Classical period in Ancient Greece.
