7 CIRCULATED COINS FROM THE HELLENIC REPUBLIC. Old collectible coins were picked from the numismatic period: Third modern drachma (1982-2000). Each bag may have different years. You will receive a full set of Greek money: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 drachmas. Greek coins have these symbols: corvettes (boats), sailing boats, canons, anchors and a wheel of boats, atoms, olive branches, a 16-point star (the symbol of Macedonia) and many famous figures: Laskarina Bouboulina (a Greek naval commander, the heroine of the Greek War of Independence in 1821, and allegedly first woman-admiral of the Imperial Russian Navy); Democritus (an Ancient Greek pre-Socratic philosopher primarily remembered today for his formulation of an atomic theory of the universe. Democritus was born in Abdera, Thrace, around 460 BC, although there are disagreements about the exact year); Manto Mavrogenous (a Greek heroine of the Greek War of Independence. A rich woman, she spent all her fortune for the Hellenic cause. Under her encouragement, her European friends contributed money and guns to the revolution); Aristotle (philosopher and polymath during the Classical period in Ancient Greece.
