ORIGIN SPECIALTIES: Organic Papua New Guinea Timuza - Varieties: Mostly Arusha, some Typica und Mundo Novo; Location: Kamano-Kainantu, Eastern Highlands Province; Process: fully washed, sun dried on patios; Harvest: between April and September; This certified organic coffee won the cup of excellence in 2016 and placed 1st in the National Cupping Competition. The soils are a mix of black and brownish red loam, with predominiately traditional typica grown under casuarina and albizia shade trees.

SOCIAL IMPACT: The Timuza Coffee Cooperative represents about 260 small-holder famers of the Kamano tribal group. Farmers have received training and assistance in financial management, gender equality, coffee husbandry and standards for processing through local partners.

In the 1920's Jamaican Blue Mountain Arabica Coffee was brought to Papua New Guinea (PNG) to us this coffee has the body and aroma of Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee but the flavor of both Central American (High Chocolate) and Asia in terms of slight zestiness (tangerine).....Amazing as a French Press and Normal Brew.
