White horehound is a flowering plant in the mint family that has been naturalized across the globe. Mentioned in conjunction with medicinal use since at least the first century BC, its use was aimed at respiratory issues, and to treat worms in animals. Today, those dealing with respiratory issues go to white horehound to find relief. Though this flowering plant in the mint family, also known as Marrubium vulgare, looks like mint, and is part of the mint family, when made into a tea, it does not taste minty. As you sip this herbal tea, you provide your body with an enriching boost of vitamins and minerals. White Horehound Tea offers vitamins like vitamin C, vitamin E and vitamin B complex, as well as iron and potassium.
