ElecGear 8X FU 2.3K Replacement Potentiometer Features

  • [FU 2.3KΩ Potentiometer] – The replacement variable resistor was made by Favor Union (FU). It fits analog joysticks made by FU. This 2.3K ohm version was found in some PS5 DualSense controllers

  • [Compatibility] – FU sensors come in two different resistance values. This 2.3K version was printed 2K3. Make sure the value is around 2.3KΩ before ordering. (Be noticed: Choose 10KΩ version for some PS3, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Hori, PDP, BDA (Power A) controllers if you found FU joysticks inside. The potentiometer in orange made by FU is not compatible with joysticks made by ALPS, while 60% of PS5 controllers use ALPS joysticks.)

  • [Additional Drift Fix PCB] – Several factors cause joystick drifting a common issue. Even new joysticks can drift. The potentiometer was born without precision. Wear to the carbon film, spring fatigue and material stretching made it not centered. Dust, moisture and drop make it worse. We packed PCB to fix the problem of drifting in one direction. Simply adjust the variable resistor to eliminate the drifting

  • [For most joystick problem] – The potentiometer sensor needs to be replaced when the controller has the problem of creeping, stuttering, a blind spot, a dead spot, a dead zone, or it wouldn't center after years of wear and tear. De-soldering the unit with only 3Pins will be a lot easier than replacing the entire joystick with as many as 14 prongs

  • [Reminder of Replacement] – Use a pair of pliers to separate the problem sensor off the joystick module. Try to replace the wiper first, see if it works. De-solder the sensor off the PCB. A metal pick helps to clear the holes. Soldering the new unit in is a breeze. Remember to calibrate the new control sticks in settings

About ElecGear 8X FU 2.3K Replacement Potentiometer

FU 2.3K Potentiometer 8x OEM replacement variable resistor was made by Favor Union (FU). It fits analog joysticks made by FU. This 2.3K ohm version was found in some PS5 DualSense controllers 1. Solve most of joystick problems: 80% chances of joystick problems were caused by the potentiometer. In another words, the rotary mechanism and the tactile switches are not the problem. You can simply replace the side potentiometer sensor alone to solve most of the joystick problems 2. Additional resistors included: Complicated moving mechanism and daily wear and tear can cause drifting, and even new potentiometers can not be 100% balanced. Calibrating in controller settings might not work. Please solder one or more paralleled resistors at the opposite direction against drifting Compatibility Notes: 1.FU potentiometers do not work with joysticks made by ALPS 2.FU sensors come in two different resistance values. This 2.3K version was printed 2K3. Please make sure the resistance value is about 2.3K ohm before ordering 3.Please choose 10K version for some PS3, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Hori, PDP, BDA (Power A) controllers with FU joystick inside
