[Analog Edition of Joystick for Steam Deck] – Analog stick gives smoother movement, it’s more liner and accurate. We did a further study on stock analog sticks for a better replacement joystick kit for Steam Deck. The kit consists of left and right thumbstick PCB assembly for a direct replacement. Additional potentiometer sensors in the box for further DIY
[What ElecGear did for a better Analog Stick] – 1. Works with both MEDA and MHDA controllers. 2. Variable resistors added to eliminate the possible drifting in hardware level. 3. New batch of ALPS joystick units used on PCB. 4. ESD diode added to protect the modules from static electricity
[Spare Potentiometers included] – The trim pot resistors do get wear after long hours gaming. It needs to be replaced when too much wear and tear accumulated: A blind spot, a dead spot, a dead zone, creeping, stuttering. We added this fragile part in the box for some super DIYer. Serious soldering skill needed for the replacing operation
[Reminder of DIY] – 1. Safely power off your console. 2. Teardown your Steam Deck and take out the problem LR units. 3. Desolder the wire of sensitive cap off the PCB. 4. Solder the cap’s wire. 5. Install the new stick and connect the flex cable. 6. Calibrate the new module in desktop mode. (🔺Moderate soldering tools and skill needed for the replacing operation.)
[What’s in Box] – 1. Replacement Joystick Modules (Analog Edition Left and Right). 2. Additional 4x 10K ALPS Potentiometers. 3. PH0 Screwdriver. 4. Tweezers. 5. Plastic Opening Tools. (🔺Soldering tools and materials are NOT included)
