It combines the best of the Cinema Line and Alpha series cameras, offering an optimized portable cinema camera. The FX3 not only meets the imaging expectations of its class, but also introduces a new lightweight, handheld form with a streamlined profile. Its unique “cage-free” design allows for the attachment of various accessories directly to the camera body.

• The FX3 comes equipped with a 12.1MP Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor, which effectively provides 10.2MP in video mode. This sensor works in conjunction with a BIONZ XR processor to deliver UHD 4K video recording. It offers internal 10-bit 4:2:2 sampling and the option for 16-bit raw output. The sensor’s BSI structure enhances both clarity and sensitivity, offering an ISO range that can be expanded from 80 to 409,600.

• The S-Cinetone mode, which enhances color and tonal control, can be utilized to match sources from VENICE, FX9, or FX6. Additionally, it supports S-Log3/2 gamut and 10-bit HLG, making it ideal for straightforward HDR productions. The sensor and processor collaborate to significantly minimize rolling shutter. Furthermore, the sensor is designed with a Fast Hybrid AF system, ensuring smart, speedy focus performance and tracking of subjects.
