Swiss Chard is a nutritious, green, leafy vegetable that can be easily added to all kinds of recipes. While the chard leaves are green, the stems of the plant can be different colors (such as red, pink, or yellow). Swiss Chard is perfect for early spring or fall growing, since it can handle cool temperatures and still thrive. Planting, Growing, and Harvesting: You may wish to soak Swiss Chard seeds for a few minutes before planting. Doing this can help speed up germination.
