Foghat's electrified and hard-rocking boogie was a multiplatinum success in the 1970s, long after the fabled British blues boom had come to an end--a testament to the enormous and wide-ranging appeal of the music as envisioned by singer/guitarist "Lonesome" Dave Peverett.
