It is the only state that had a Kingdom and rulers and not one but two palaces!!! Lots of movies were made there. There are all kinds of laws you have to follow if you want to live there or if you want to visit there. One law is there are absolutely no snakes in Hawaii. It's a Class C Felony to have one or transport one. I really like that law because I hate snakes!! That's just me meaning no disrespect to people who like them. Just don't bring them to Hawaii LOL Another thing We all know former President Obama was born there but what I didn't know was he was Nicknamed Barry when he lived there and it remained with him in his presidency. Another thing I really like is each of the 8 islands all have their own color of sand. They have red, yellow, and even green. All I can say is read the book. It's is truly fascinating like all of Bill O'Neill's State Books.
