This Checkbook Magnetic Travel Chess Set is perfect for chess players on the go and is used in many countries. Its small form is the size of a checkbook - it can be placed in a shirt pocket, backpack, or bag! Compact yet completely playable, it features a 5.5 inch, green/buff chess board and is one of the strongest magnetized sets available on the market. When folded up, it becomes pocket-sized, and because it's portable, you can easily leave the playing positions intact for later use. The board has algebraic notation on all sides and is an excellent learning tool for chess players of all skill levels. A 3rd magnetic panel was added to store unused chess pieces to help keep everything in its' place. This is an excellent stocking stuffer or gift for any chess enthusiast and makes a great prize for chess clubs. WE GAMES listened to your comments and dramatically updated the checkbook magnetic chess set. We went back to the drawing board to create the Ultimate Magnetic Checkbook travel chess set. The main improvements were stylized designs for the chess pieces, extra queens, blank replacement pieces, and a third magnetic storage panel with images for the pieces when not in use. This way when you capture a black knight, you place it where the black knight is supposed to go on its magnetic home. You will always know where your chess pieces are and what position that game is in. By the way, you can use the pieces to play checkers as well - Happy Travels.
