About Airfix HMS Ark Royal 1:600 Vintage Classics

Mold tools Made in 1966, pack illustration by Roy cross, 1966. The aircraft carrier Ark royal was the third vessel of the royal Navy to bear the same name. She was launched at the Birkenhead shipyard of camel Laird on the 13th April 1937. Hms Ark royal was involved in the sinking of the German battleship Bismarck bu later, while on Malta convoy duty, was topedoed by the German submarine u-81. Despite all attempts to tow her to grab altar, the ARK royal slowly heeled over and at 0613 hours on the 14th November 1941 she finally went down, only one Sailor losing his life.
