The 100W Moffatt 95021 incandescent/halogen task lamp comes with a 24" flex arm, and stands on a magnetic base for installation on metal surfaces. The task lamp accommodates standard 100W A19 incandescent or halogen light bulbs (sold separately). The lamp has a 24" gooseneck-style flex arm that allows vertical and lateral bending, and is made of durable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for resistance to cleaning chemicals and protection from grease and oil in industrial applications. For optimal work visibility, the task lamp's shade swivels up to 270 degrees on top of the flex arm. A conical anodized aluminum reflector inside the shade also helps pool and focus the light beam. The 5-1/2" high lamp shade measures 4-1/2" in diameter, and it has a double-wall polycarbonate construction that keeps the outer surface from becoming hot to touch. An aluminum heat sink absorbs any excess heat produced by the task lamp to prevent the toggle switch on the back of the shade from overheating. A 3"-diameter magnetic base with 100-lb. pull force helps securely mount the lamp on metal counters or surfaces. The task lamp comes with a 6' stranded junior thermoplastic, oil rated (SJTO)-3 type cord with a three-prong grounded plug for connecting to electrical outlets. The lamp meets Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) standards for quality assurance. The task lamp is commonly used in workshops, factories, laboratories, kitchens, and offices, among other work environments. Task lamps provide direct lighting to a specific space for better visibility. Task lamps often have an adjustable arm that bends or hinges to move up and down and, in many cases, can also move laterally to positions the light beam optimally. Task lamps are commonly used in computing, construction, dental, laboratory, and medical applications, among others. Moffatt Products manufactures task lamps, magnifiers, safety shields, and gooseneck flexible arms. The company, founded in 1954, is headquartered in Watertown, SD.
