Current British Gurka Issue Khukuri: This Kukri is the replica of current British Service Issue and was used since 1995 till date. Practical and Ergonomically Design: The blade is 11 inches providing a very good reach at the opponent. The sharpness of the blade run pretty much from the bottom to the top and its very effective for whacking and thrusting. The handle with lifted bands in the middle tends to go between the lower two fingers and upper two fingers providing an excellent grip and prevents your hands from sliding up to reduce injuries. It really feels great for your hands, looks cool and operates comfortably.
Hand Made, Strong and Durable: The blade steel is a High Grade Carbon Steel and is hand forged and shaped meticulously. The Blade is single fullered with a heavy blunt 8mm spine that provides maximum power and effect. The Horn handle is slightly flared at the bottom with rat tail tang pushed through and hot glued by “Laha” (traditional handmade epoxy) to the grip with metal/brass bolster at the neck and pommel making it strong and durable.

Scabbard and Backup Knife: The scabbard is wrapped with a black sheath leather with the pointed top covered by metal/brass covering for durability and cleaner finish. The “Karda” can be used as utility tool to skin small animals like rabbits. “Chakmak” is especially used as quick sharpener or a flint to spark fire.
This particular Khukri is a replica of current issue BSI. Its got that traditional look and feel with a distinctive angular curved blade and traditional style handle with flared bottom. It has a very straight line from the elbow to the tip and thick spine consistent all the way to the bevel tip which makes it very sturdy and strong Khukri. It has a very large sweet spot for chopping. The rat tail tang blade is gripped strongly inside the handle with traditional epoxy and secured by Metal Brass Bolster at the neck and the pommel. This kukri is hand forged and handmade by “Biswakarma” who are born khukuri makers and whose skills are bestowed upon by their ancestors. High grade carbon steel are forged to shape the angular inward sharp blades which provides maximum strength and durability. The scabbard is made of wood wrapped with leather sheath and the tip is also adorned with metal brass that matches with the neck and pommel that provides an aesthetic look. The “OM” shaped notch at the neck prevents blood from dripping uncompromising the sturdy grip while at action.
