About SureFire HL1-A Helmet Light With Multiple

The SureFire Helmet Light is a compact, watertight, variable-output LED illumination tool providing close-quarter, hands-free illumination. It attaches to the right or left side of nearly any military helmet—including ACH, LWH, MICH, and PASGT—via an included ambidextrous ratchet mount, which allows the light to be rotated 360 degrees when attached. The mount securely attaches to the side of the helmet, enabling the Helmet Light to be quickly secured; or detached just as quickly, for servicing or attaching to the MOLLE or PALS webbing of a service vest via its optional Z71clip (not included). Powered by one 123A lithium battery, the Helmet Light uses six solid-state LEDs to produce multiple low-signature spectrums of light at several output levels: Primary - three 5 mm LEDs at low, medium, and high; Secondary - two 5 mm LEDs at low, medium, and high; and an IR Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) beacon - one 3 mm 1.72 mW infrared LED with continual blinking output, for identification purposes. The Helmet Light is activated via no-look, switching that’s intuitive and user friendly—even with gloves on. And a system-disable feature prevents it from accidentally activating during transport or storage.
