PRE-DRILLING – The included 3 inch security screws require holes to be pre-drilled with 1/8 inch drill bit. Do not use a drill driver with max torque setting to install the 3 inch screws as you can strip or break the heads. Some doors may require mortising.

Plus, it’s child-safe, because you can install it higher on a door, where your young ones can’t reach. Length is 2 to 0.19 inch. Width is 1 to 0.38 inch. Installation takes minutes, and the U 11441 door reinforcement lock comes with 3 inch hardened screws.
