Ascension Stair Parts wood products come in a variety of species and profiles. The natural variations in grain and color will require tolerance for look and finish. Sanding to a finish will be required on most products unless stated otherwise before paint or varnish can be applied. Our newel caps are designed to fit with the correct size newel post. A small amount of give allows for leveling and adjustment. They can be secured with epoxy, wood glue, finish nails or a combination of these.
