About Simpson Strong-Tie PGT 12-Gauge ZMAX Galvanized
Description The PGT is a tie designed for attaching wood fence rails to metal fence posts. This pipe grip tie can be used in new construction or to replace damaged wooden posts. Ideal for a variety of conditions, the PGT helps to eliminate the rot and failures to which wood fence posts are most prone, thus extending the life of a fence. -PGT1.5Z-R is for 1 1/2" pipe (1 7/8" outside diameter), Includes 1 bolt. -Install on vertical pipes, offsetting corners to allow for the correct rail alignment. - Use three to four PGTs per pipe; line up to stringline. - Field bend PGT flanges to fit corner and angled conditions (bend one time only). - Attach PGT to rails using four 1/4" x 1 1/2" Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws (not supplied). 1/4" lag screws may be substituted. Follow the code requirements for predrilling.
