Plastic Insert should be placed into the hollow end of 1/2" Square Baluster. Simply hammer the plastic insert (narrow end) into the top of square baluster. Plastic Insert will fit into baluster very tightly.

It is also possible to use this product with dowel screw (NOT included). To do this, slide the plastic insert (narrow end) into the bottom of the trimmed baluster, install the dowel screw (not included) into the tread, and screw the plastic insert and baluster tight against the tread surface.

Recommendations and Warnings: This Plastic Insert should be used with Decorex Hardware Square Hollow Iron Balusters with external dimensions of 0.5" x 0.5", with wall thickness of around 0.04" (=1mm). Plastic Insert is designed to fit a 0.42" x 0.42" hole in square hollow baluster. This product is compatible with 1/2" Square Hollow Iron Balusters offered by Decorex Hardware. If used with other brands of balusters, this product may not fit as intended. Product is recommended to be used by professional audience, contactors with knowledge and experience in mounting balusters. It is also possible to use this product with dowel screw (NOT included).
