About Schwinn Tech & Spec Guide Electro-forged Schwinns

Hey folks, due to changes in the self-publishing world that are beyond my control, this title will now be made available to the general public. I'll still be hand numbering the copies of this book that are sold direct through my website and through eBay, and will also be stamping these copies (over the hand-numbering bit) with a Schwinn-themed rubber stamp. Books sold direct through Kindle / Amazon will also be dated September 5 2018 and later, if that matters to folks. Anyway, moving on. This book, the Tech & Spec, covers just about everything there is to know about post-war electroforged Schwinn bikes. Or at least as much as any sane and reasonable person would want to know. 1946 - 1982. It's a brick of a book. It covers frames, kickstands, rims, tires, spokes, forks, front hubs, rear hubs, chainrings, cranks, headsets, stems, pedals, chainguards, badges, fenders, reflectors, grips, bars, tanks, brakes, derailleurs, freewheels, shifters, seats, seatposts, clamps, racks, accessory bits, paint colors, serial numbers, tech & tools, a massive model name index for quick reference, an overview of reproduction models, and some thoughts on collecting. And although it covers the early electroforged BMX models (based around the Sting-Ray frame), it doesn't go into the later BMX models. Nor does it cover the lugged frame lightweight road bikes in any great detail. Still, it's a massive book. And almost all the information is correct. Think of that. This is the book that I wished I had when I started collecting some twenty-odd years ago. Collect smarter so you can collect harder. Get more enjoyment out of your bikes. Fewer frustrations, more fun. Chicago steel keeps it real. Cheers, Geoff
