You can't tell by the color on the media and the color names what the true color will be as well has how the color changes with pressure and layering. Most coloring fans like to swatch and test each brand and color within the brand as well as mixing same colors between brands. This swatch journal is a must have logbook of your stash of different types of media, be it, colored pencils, gel pens, markers, pastels and more. It is handy to have your media library in one notebook to frequently reference. FEATURES: Large 8" x 10" paperbook notebook with white pages SWATCH BY BRAND: 1 1/8" wide by 3/8" tall rectangles for a total of 3186 rectangles on 59 pages. Big enough to have 2 sides to each color swatch to show varying pressure if desired.
