Yosemite has long been one of my favorite places in California and deserves a good story, the photos used in the illustrations are stunning. This tale teaches some very useful facts as well, for instance; do you know what to do if you are hiking and you come across a bear? I was so excited when she came out with the Road Trip Tales series because roadtrips are our favorite pastime and something we try to do every year. Both The Very Quiet Village and The Tree Guardian are truly something special. Leah Vis is an amazing photographer and I admire how she has put all of her talents together to create such beautiful storybooks that the whole family can enjoy.
