About the Author Captain Tellis Bethel was born in Nassau, Bahamas. He is a naval officer by profession and currently serves as Deputy Commander Defence Force in the Royal Bahamas Defence Force. Captain Bethel is a graduate of the Britannia Naval College, Devon, England and the Naval Staff College at United States Naval War College in Providence, Rhode Island, and has a Master of Arts degree in Leading Innovation and Change from York St. John University in England. Captain Bethel lives in Nassau, Bahamas with his wife, Teri, and their two sons.
