This is an elegant bust of Ludwig von Beethoven, one of the most famous and influential composers in the history of western classical music. He was born in Bonn almost three centuries ago (1770), but he moved to Vienne at a young age in order to study with Joseph Haydn. In Vienna, he built a great reputation as a virtuoso pianist. He has left a rich repertoire of composition, including among others, nine symphonies, five concertos for piano, and thirty two sonatas. Impressively, Beethoven composed all these amazing pieces, despite a severe illness that caused a significant loss of hearing since he were twenty six years old.
