That said, when Child Tester put the sample in her mouth, she looked like we’d just stuck mud in there: face screwed up, eyes squeezed, all the body language of horror. She just slammed her TWO THUMBS DOWN!! up into the air as she swallowed, and then stared at us with deep resentment and accusation. We were like, “really? This one is supposed to have sweetness for you!” Her response? “Yeah. There’s sweetness. But it’s so sour and sweet that it’s nasty.” Then, “so no? Don’t make this again?” Her look was all the answer we needed, and the last of it went into that day’s colcannon. You will receive 1 teaspoon of dried cultures.
