About TEKTON 1/2 Inch Drive X E16 External Star Impact

Tekton's impact external star (E-Star) sockets are made from 6140 chromium vanadium steel that's heat-treated to 40.5–47.5 HRC for use on impact wrenches. The socket is coated with a manganese phosphate finish to resist corrosion and has both a high-visibility laser size marking and a permanent stamped size marking. The inside of the socket's drive end has smooth walls with no detent grooves to support engagement with drive tools that use friction ring anvils. A detent pin hole on one side of the drive end also supports engagement with detent pin anvil styles.
