Sized just right, this custom engraved compass is the diameter of a standard pocket watch and measures 2 inches (5 cm) in diameter, 5/8 inch (1.7 cm) thick, and weighs 3 ounces (85 grams). Our vintage brass pocket compass gift is offered with an antique patina that looks like a 100-year-old compass. Beautifully crafted from solid brass, this functional, working pocket compass houses a copper compass rose and a red-tipped, black compass needle that will always point toward magnetic north. Each personalized compass has a small lever on the side of the compass that operates a needle lift mechanism to protect the compass bearing during transit. The knob on the top lid of the compass can be used to help open the nautical compass. Your personalized inscription can be engraved on the inside lid of this antique brass compass. Each personalized pocket compass comes complete with a Stanley London embossed gift box that has custom foam cut outs to ensure secure transport and a beautiful presentation. A solid hardwood storage box with several unique designs laser engraved into the top of the box and a matching antique compass chain are available as accessories once the yellow "Customize Now" box is clicked. This wood case is handmade with a beveled lid, light hardwood splines, and the inside of box is felt lined to protect your keepsake compass. The box is 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm) tall, 3 inches (7.2 cm) square, and 3.2 ounces (91 grams).
