• KEY FEATURES: HanBon Forged real Japanese Sakura Katana sword, This is NOT a toy katana. this samurai sword is made from 1060 high carbon steel for high performance, hardness and flexibility. Traditionally hand forged, hand polished and hand sharpeed. It is fully functional and durable enough for tameshigiri. This real Katana sword is also a very good choice for Iaido use, practice, training, display and collection.

• KATANA BLADE: The blade is made from 1060 high carbon steel in the Maru style. Hand polished using Japanese water stones. the surface of the blade is like a mirror, the whole katana blade is heat treated and oil quenched. The sharp hand honed edge is built for cutting. this katana comes with Full Tang.

• KATANA HANDLE: The tsuka core of this katana sword is made of hardwood with genuine inlaid same’gawa/rayskin, covered in a black synthetic leather ito wrap in the hinerimaki style. The ito features alternating crossovers in the hinerimaki style for durability. The tsuba, fuchi and Koshira are made of alloy metal with sakura design. The habaki and seppa are made of brass. The tsuka is secured by two bamboo mekugi pegs for added safety.

• KATANA SHEATH: The Saya of the Japanese sword is hardwood with a black high gloss finish. The sageo is synthetic silk tied over a wooden kurigata with golden shitedome. The kurikata (knot) is placed the proper distance from the koiguchi to allow the user to easily release the sword from the saya.

• KATANA SIZE: Total length:41.3in; Handle length:10.6in; Blade length:27.6in; Scabbard length:30.3in; Point of Balance:5.7in from tsuba; Weight with scabbard:2.65lb; Weight without scabbard: 2.29lb.
