About THD Magnetic Boat Trailer Surge Brake Lockout
The THD Magnetic Surge Brake Lockout Key is the perfect solution for backing up your boat without the brakes on the trailer stopping you! The Magnetic Lockout Key replaces the factory silver key that easily slips out of place or is easily lost. There are no tools required to install the magnetic key. Just place the magnetic key into the key lockout slot and you are good to go. The easy pull strap makes it easy to release and remove the magnetic lockout key. The Hi-Vis orange is a great reminder to remove the magnetic key before driving on the road for proper brake function on the trailer. 4 pin vs 5 pin trailer wiring? If your trailer is equipped with 5 pin wiring. When you put your vehicle in reverse there is an electronic actuator that overrides the brakes when you back up. These actuators tend to not always function as designed requiring the manual lockout key to be used. The THD Magnetic Surge Brake Lockout Key is a great backup solution to this. If your trailer is equipped with 4 pin wiring, you have to put your surge brake lockout key in anytime to backup.
