The dressing absorbs exudates and forms a gel like covering over the wound, maintains a moist environment for wound healing. The gel-like surface also keeps the dressing from adhering to the wound.

Product Description Indications Silver alginate dressing is suitable for treating moderate to severely exuding wounds, including postoperative wounds, trauma wounds, leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers and donor sites. It is helpful for minor abrasions, minor cuts, abrasions, minor scalds and burns. Contraindications a) This product is for one-time use. Do not use if the pouch is damaged or opened. b) Do not use this product on dry wounds. c) Silver Calcium Alginate Dressing may be left in place for up to seven days or until the dressing is saturated with wound exudate. Usage information a) Wash the wound with saline and gently dry the surrounding skin. b) Choose the appropriate dressing size according to the wound area. c) Cover and fix the silver calcium alginate dressing with auxiliary dressing. d) Gently remove the auxiliary dressing. If the wound looks dry, soak the dressing with saline before removing the wound. Warning a) Do not use silver calcium alginate dressings on patients who are allergic to silver. b) Silver alginate dressing is not suitable for third degree burns.
