5 3/4" AUS-8 blade
Comfortable ergonomic Kraton handle
Used by Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations
Made in Russia
Dominus was created for the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Saint-Petersburg whose members were impressed with Viluy concept and asked us to combine its versatile Kraton handle with the powerful blade of Maximus and add serrations important for their emergency operations. One needs to take Dominus in their hand just for a few seconds to immediately understand how comfortable the knife is and how well it behaves in various grips. Dominus comes with a modified version of our great Tactical Echelon series sheath that features full MOLLE compatibility and allows various attachment options. Unlike its Centurion brother, the Dominus features a partially serrated AUS-8 blade but equally comfortable in hand use. The Dominus is just a smidgen beefier than its brother with a thicker spine. Whether you wrap your thumb around in a standard grip or place it on the back of the notched spine of the blade for slicing cuts, either grip makes cutting with the 5 3/4" AUS-8 blade feel almost effortless. Fullers on both sides of the blade lighten the Dominus to 9 oz (not including the sheath). The tang extends through the handle and is notched for multiple uses. If you use a reverse grip the it allows a firm thumb hold or use as a tactical hammer head, but more creative survivalists can think of more uses than us. Numerous accessories that are sold separately include a MOLLE belt that can be used for a quieter and even more comfortable knife carry on a thigh, also there is a choice of a few MOLLE-compatible pouches that can be installed directly onto the sheaths to carry a multi-tool, folding knife, sharpener, flashlight, survival kit, etc. Overall: 11" Blade Length: 5 3/4" Handle Length: 5" Weight: 9 oz Blade Steel: AUS-8 Handle Material: Kraton.
