About Gerber Gear Controller - Saltwater-Resistant
Tough and dependable for every fishing, kayak fishing, or fly fishing trip, the Gerber Controller Fillet Fixed Blade Knife is the ideal fishing tool to take a beating and hold its edge. Made from 9Cr18MoV steel, the controller features a full-tang blade with a mirror polish for corrosion resistance. It has a plain edge and flexible blade to handle every sea creature. Designed with HydroTread Grip, the handle includes strategically raised sections for traction and to wick away water when cleaning up. It will allow you to grip your knife with confidence in slippery conditions. Built right into the handle itself are the GuideFins which provide solid placement for your thumb and unrivaled control for smooth, safe cuts. The finger choil will also provide proper hand placement and protect your fingers while cutting. A crucial part of the fillet knife system is the Controller’s innovative sheath. Designed with generous venting, the molded plastic sheath doesn’t get water logged and is easy to rinse out when the job’s done. The pocket clip, belt loop, and lanyard hole allow you to mount your fillet knife how you want it. A built-in sharpener allows for blade touch-ups on-the-go, and it is easily mounted with multiple options for safe stowage on a backpack, belt, or pocket. Gerber tools are built to last a lifetime.
