SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS Rear Derailleur - 12 Speed, Black Features

  • The AXS powered component enables customization and scales to an individual rider’s liking via the SRAM AXS App

  • It features a shorter cage for 10mm more ground clearance, with more chain wrap on the cassette to sit slightly further forward, and further inboard

  • The derailleur is designed with a resilient Overload Clutch - in the event of an impact, the motor gearbox disengages, giving the derailleur freedom to move, and instantly returns back to its position for a seamless experience for the rider

  • The system is tested to IP69K water and dust proofing standard for creek crossings, mud splattering and the resulting post-ride pressure washings

  • Designed to work with X-Dome Eagle cassettes only. Battery sold separately.

About SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS Rear Derailleur - 12 Speed, Black

The Eagle axs rear derailleur is the brain of the circuit group and has been specially developed the optimal switching performance with electric motor. The circuit under load and on rough surfaces now works even more precisely. This gives you confidence in the bike under extreme strain and you can concentrate solely on the trail. The overload clutch ensures better protection of the rear derailleur in case of falls. It temporarily decouples the rear derailleur under extreme loads, so that it can avoid the load and the electric motor is protected from damage. However, the rear derailleur immediately jumps back into the inserted gear. As an extremely positive side effect, the rear derailleur suspension and the derailleur hanger are better protected in case of falls. In addition, a 10 mm shorter rear derailleur arm protects the rear derailleur from ground contact. For more chain looping and thus better switching performance, the parallelogram has slipped slightly further forward.
