The Gerber Defender Rail helps anglers secure their fishing gear to themselves or their boat while fishing on the waterfront. Whether you are on a boat, kayak, or just wading in the current, this fishing tether can lock down and secure your favorite tools. Use the retention T-bolt to lock it onto the rail of the boat or secure it with the lanyard hole and a carabiner. With the tip control carabiner, you can take the tension off of your fishing tools by using the finger ring to absorb tension and maximize utility. The tether line is 48-inch Dyneema cord; durable and tough for tools small and large. The tether line's tension has been fine-tuned so that it's strong enough to return your tools in place without you having to fight it to pull the line out. When you need to lock your gear in place, use the side lock with one finger intuitive control. If a tethered tool gets snagged or dropped downstream, the override feature will kick in to protect the retractable tether from damage. Be ready to catch any fish with the tether tool's 100-degree pivoting. It'll turn on the rail for easy access while you cast off and reel in. The Defender has a corrosion-resistant anodized aluminum cover, so you can take this with you for saltwater or freshwater fishing. Gerber tools are built to last a lifetime.
