A design released and issued for Gurka warriors working for the OEF mission in Afghanistan especially to adapt to condition of Afghanistan. Though the mission has ended, this Kukri is still able to maintain its legendary character with its signature balanced recurve blade. Yet the handle is completely modern and functional.

Ergonomic Contemporary Design – The finely forged blade is wide and forward bent reducing the wrist movement for injuries. The spine is flat and hefty providing a good support for the thumb producing immense force for a deeper cut. A ripple design Rosewood Handle fits seamlessly between index and rest of the fingers with a one armed quillon at the bolster that prevents hand from slipping forward to avoid hand cuts. Notch at the neck prevents blood from dripping.

Durability that last for decades – The hand hammered 11 -inch blade reflects the craftsmanship’s skill. Beautiful double fuller curve runs consistently from tip to the bolster making it look stunning. Forged from High Grade Carbon Spring Steel, the blade is full flat tang extended all the way with lanyard hole for wrist hanging. The 5.5” handle is topped and glued with two piece of rosewood and triple riveted for strength and durability.

Classic Scabbard with 2 extra knives – The scabbard made of cotton wood looks fantastic wrapped in Off White Leather Sheath which perfectly matches the light brown handle. It has a loop tip for hanging. The leather frog is detachable with a wide belt loop at the head and black lace-up in front that allows tightening or loosening the scabbard. The 2 utility knives “Karda” and “Chakmak” can be used as Utility knife and Sharpener/Flint respectively.

Brief History The Khukuri is used by gurka regiments around the world and a national weapon of Nepal. Biswakarmas (Blacksmiths) of Nepal still use ancient techniques to craft these iconic blades that date back to almost 1500 years. Every gorkha soldier carries one irrespective of where they are deployed and every Nepalese household has one irrespective of the region. The distinct curve in the blade is what distinguishes a Khukri from other knives. Even today making Khukuri is a traditional craft passed through generations. While gorkha soldiers still use these blades as weapons in Nepal’s countryside you'll find people using Kukri’s for a variety of chores from chopping, cutting, slicing, whacking etc. The kukri remains Nepal’s favorite weapon and its effectiveness in combat matches no other. Gripper and Blocker Handle The distinctive angular shape of the blade gives it a traditional look and feel. But the Handle is different than the traditional flared ones that make this Khukri distinguishable. This knife is called Gripper and Blocker because of it newly designed handle that serves it purpose well. The extended one side arm of the bolster (aka Quillon) blocks your hands from moving forward preventing cuts. It can also block opponents blade. The handle features a wave design curved triple grip just below the bolster to provide sturdy grip that fits perfectly between the index and rest of the fingers.
