In fabricating the knives, Cold Steel has duplicated Pendleton's hand-made work as accurately as possible, with blades honed to a fine keen. Each knife's handle has contours and cross sections exactly mapped to Pendleton's originals, with durable Secure-Ex sheaths. The Lite Hunter features a drop point blade, modest guard, hollowed bolster area, and flared but to aid retention. German 4116 stainless steel is affordable but high performing, and the Kray-Ex handle holds up to all kinds of environmental and use-based abuses.
