About Bearhard 3.0 Heavy Duty Emergency
This product is mainly used as a weather-resistant barrier between you and the frigid environment and helping retain up to 93% of body heat to prevent hypothermia and shock in extreme weather conditions. It’s made up of Nonwoven Fabric, polyester mesh and Aluminized Mylar (Polyethylene Terephthalate). Nonwoven Fabric is one of the ideal material to apply in emergency situations to retain body heat. Adding polyester mesh in the middle of the material is aiming to enhance the tensile strength drastically, and reduce tearing possibilities after piercing or cutting. Aluminized Mylar (Polyethylene Terephthalate), is another synthetic material from the Polyethylene family and it is the basic material for most of the emergency blankets in the market. So it is strong, durable and tear resistant. Each 83” x 59” blanket weighs 22 oz and is individually packed in a sealed bag for easy storage and retrieval.
