About TDC By EBarb 1790 Tobacco Box (1790BP) Brass Plain
The 1790 Tobacco Box is available in brass, copper and German silver, both engraved with the early American eagle design or plain. It was used to carry tobacco, fire starting materials, patches or any one of a number of uses. This item was stocked at most early trading posts. It is proudly made in America and has hand soldered construction with no lead bearing solder used. The American ease designed is copied from a period hand engraved original. It measures 4" x 2" x 5/8". "German silver" is 65% Copper, 18% Nickel and 17% zinc.
