The oldest Ashford spinning wheels use this flat piece of leather to connect the treadle to the conrod. It measures 9/16″ inches wide x 2 5/8 inches long x 1/8″ inches thick. It has two holes predrilled for the attaching screws. This connector will not fit the Ashford spinning wheels mentioned below that have a different style of connector. Ashford spinning wheels from 2012 to the present use a black cast footman connector. The Ashford flexible conrod joint is for a slightly older Ashford wheels from mid 1980’s to 2012. It measures Measures: 1/4 inch diameter x 2.75 inches (6.00mm x 7.0cm) and is made from clear nylon. If your wheel had a green connector (3/16” diameter) the 1/4 in clear nylon conrod joint may not fit. Ashord no longer stocks the 3/16 inch diameter green flexible conrod joints.
