From the Manufacturer Monsters, vampires, and mummies need their gloomy weather in the medieval land of Castleblanca. Hacker, the power-hungry scoundrel, has stolen the weather chip flooding the town with sunshine. A blinding beam of light guards the chip. The Cyberchase kids must come to the rescue and build a lean-to large enough to cast a shadow and allow them to recover the chip. By playing games and solving puzzles the kids acquire parts needed to build the lean-to and restore gloomy weather in Castleblanca! Eight interactive activities and puzzles Features the popular characters from the award-winning television series Teaches angle measurement, proportion, estimation, and other measurement concepts For kids ages 8-11 Review Based on the PBS Cyberchase TV show, this adventure stars three kids and their cyber- bird, Digit. A villain named Hacker has embarked on a mad quest to conquer the virtual universe, and kids must use their logic and problem-solving skills to thwart his plan. This particular adventure is set in a medieval land populated by monsters, vampires and mummies. Content includes eight puzzles and activities that teach strategic thinking, estimation and so on. There are three levels of difficulty. A similarly designed sister program is called Cyberchase Carnival Chaos. The games are frustratingly difficult -- this is an example of poor design.
