If you do not want to move your sectional sofa 1000 times everyday, this is exactly what you need. The ratchet type connectors did not hold securely and are easily broken. This style is more thick and heavy duty. How to use:1. Install the upward facing connectors first, and place them on the heavier of your sectional pieces. When connecting your pieces, you'll be lifting the one with the downward facing connectors, so you might as well make it easier on yourself. Take note of how far you install the connector from the bottom edge of your sectional. When you go to install the downward facing connectors, they'll need to be placed 1/8" higher than the upward ones.2. We used these on upholstered pieces. In our case, we didn't need to drill pilot holes; it worked quite well to start the screws using a hand screwdriver and then tighten with a screw gun.3. Once you have the upward connectors tightly installed, simply drop the downward connectors onto them. Line up and push your sectional pieces together, and you'll see exactly where the downward connectors should be installed. You can mark the vertical edges with masking tape to be sure.4. Again, taking your number from step 1, add 1/8", and screw on the downward connectors. In our case, the upward connectors were 1/2" from the bottom of the sofa, and the downward ones were thus 5/8" from the bottom.5. Push the sectional pieces together, dropping the piece with the downward connectors onto the one with the upward connectors, and you're done!LazyMe, take it easy.
