HOW TO USE SHIKAKAI PODS FOR HAIR There are several ways to use Shikakai pods. Method 1 Soak 2 to 3 Shikakai pods in a bowl of water with 2 pieces of Amla and 3 Reetha pods. Allow the mixture to sit overnight. In the morning boil the mixture until the amount of liquid is reduced to ¼ of the original amount. Allow the liquid to cool then mash the pods and sieve the mixture through a fine muslin cloth. The solution is now ready to use. Wash you hair with the solution. It may not produce much lather as it is a mild cleanser. Shikakai will clean both your scalp and your hair. Shikakai controls dandruff while keeping hair healthy and strong. Method 2 Grind the shikakai pods. Seive the ground mixture to remove any unground pieces. The result is pure shikakai powder. Soak a teaspoon of this powder in water. Use this solution to wash your scalp and hair. Method 3 Place 5 pieces of Shikakai in the hair oil that you normally use. Leave the pods in the oil and the benefits of the Shikakai will absorb into the oil. Continue to use your hair oil as you normally would.
