PDL-AFX-S is not only an extremely practical wireless follow-focus system but also boasts a powerful LiDAR autofocus feature. Each lens requires a one-time autofocus setup, and saved lens data eliminates the need for repeated adjustments. Up to 5 lens data can be stored, Including 5 color labels for easy channel identification. Simply calibrate the lens travel for automatic retrieval of lens data after each use.

LiDAR automatic ranging projects a total of 4096 ranging points with a 28-degree angle and an actual scanning distance virtually extending from 4m. The 0.75Nm high-torque LiDAR motor at 16384DPI effortlessly drives various lenses. The autofocus function is compatible with manually focused lenses featuring hard stops or DSLR lenses with depth of field scale frames. Three adjustable autofocus speeds include high-speed sports mode, medium-speed standard mode, and slow-speed cinematic mode. Autofocus distance may be compromised in bright sunlight but can be restored by wearing reflective stickers. Additionally, scanning distance is unaffected by any lighting or extremely dark environments.

Array Focusing Technology automatically identifies and tracks the object focus closest or farthest (Only low-speed) from the LiDAR within the scanning range. If the scanned object moves out of the autofocus area, the motor will automatically move to a position near infinity until the object is detected again, then it moves to the actual focus distance. When the motor is not connected to Bluetooth and no object is within the scanning range, it automatically moves to the near-infinite focus point. After connecting to Bluetooth, if no object is within the scanning range, the motor automatically moves to the 5-meter focus point for 5 seconds, then moves to the near-infinite focus point.
