About ZTW Mantis 12A BEC 2-4S LiPo 600Hz SimonK ESC
The ZTW Mantis 12A is undoubtedly the most widely used ESC in 250 class mini-quads. While ZTW (Zone Top Way) is the original manufacturer, they have OEM'd this design many times, the most commonly known one being the HobbyKing "Mystery" Blue Series 12A (although the HobbyKing version is only rated at 3S). The Mantis 12A is a solid, very reliable, high performance ESC, especially once flashed with the famous "SimonK" firmware - a third party firmware written specifically for Multirotors by Simon Kirby. The ZTW Mantis 12A sold in this listing was custom manufactured by ZTW for ZwissTech, with a few improvements over the standard design. 2.0mm female bullet connectors are factory attached, yet can easily be cut off for soldered applications. SimonK firmware 2013-05-15 was flashed, which provides the most stable performance with higher RPM motors including 2204 class 2300 KV motors, particularly when running on 4S. ZTW also flashed them with the SimonK bootloader for compatibility with the RapidFlash application to update firmware revisions or change settings over the servo cable (known as RapidESC).
