About Zoom TAC-2 Thunderbolt Audio Interface For Mac
Record your music with high-quality studio sound feel and flow on the Zoom TAC-2 Thunderbolt Audio Interface for Thunderbolt-equipped Mac. With the latest Thunderbolt technology, you can rely on the TAC-2 for the highest standard performance. It provides super-low latency audio streaming and operation at sample rates all the way up to 24-bit 192kHz. The TAC-2 features two balanced XLR/TRS inputs with 48V phantom power that accept both mic and line-level signal, a Hi-Z switch that allows direct connection of electric guitar or bass and 7-position LED metering for input, output and headphone volume. Outputs include two balanced TRS jack outputs to connect amplifiers or self-powered speakers plus headphone jack with dedicated volume control. The Burr Brown PCM4202 analog-to-digital converter features high-performance mic preamps that provide up to +60dB of amplification. Additionally, with the Tac-2 you get 4x upsampling during A/D and D/A conversion for reduced noise and enhanced fidelity and downloadable TAC-2 MixEfx software for setting mix parameters and adding effects such as reverb and echo. Constructed with every recorder in mind, the TAC-2 is Bus powered so no AC power is required, and comes in a robust metal housing that’s compact and lightweight for safe and easy transport to practice and sessions.
