The crock is branded by Year of Plenty, the fermentation weights and lid are Ohio Stoneware. The set is gorgeous and will make a perfect addition to you kitchen or pantry. Use it to make sauerkraut, kimchi, pickles or other healthy, tasty fermented foods. Simply submerge the vegetable matter in a salt water brine and use the inculded fermentation weights keep the ferment submerged. Place some cheese cloth on top and add the lid. These beautiful crocks are very useful, and make a nice addition to any stoneware collection. They are great for traditional preserving and pickling uses, and this 1 Gallon Crock is a nice size for pickles and kraut. They can be used decoratively, as well... and as kitchen storage and pantry containers. Each crock is fired at a high temperature for durability! Finished with Lead-Free, Food-Safe Glaze.
