A story about my life and my desserts! When you are stressed, you eat ice cream, cake, chocolate and sweets. Why? Because stressed spelled backwards is desserts. If you love ice cream, sorbet, sherbet, semifreddo, or Yonanas, I highly recommend adding one or two of these tools to your kitchen collection. Trust me, when it's scooping time, you'll be happy you did. And you won't have to bend any more spoons! My kids eat ice cream as a snack pretty regularly. What I love about this is how easy it is to scoop out the ice cream, despite how frozen it is and the ability to get each scoop the same size. For a mom of two, this is HUGE, each kid gets the same amount of ice cream and I don't hear complaining. There are three popular styles of ice cream removal tools: the scoop, the dish, and the spade. The bowl shapes we tested ranged from round to oval to ones that look like a shovel. There were some round-bowl models that formed nice scoops, but they were uncomfortable to use because their wide heads created more resistance as you dug into the ice cream. An all-purpose scoop, this tool portions frozen yogurt, cookie dough, meat balls, rice dishes, melon, sorbet, fruit, frozen yogurt, perfectly portioned cookies, cupcakes, pancakes, cookie dough, vegetable purees, chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookies, peanut butter cookies, meatballs, sherbets, popovers, canapes, mashed potatoes, hamburger patties, muffins and so on.
