The Wej-It LSS14 short expansion shield anchor is made of rust-resistant zamac alloy, provides a secure hold in most materials including solid masonry, masonry joints, and uncracked concrete, and meets GSA FFS-325C Group 2, Type 1, Class 2C federal specifications. The anchor body expands into surface of the drilled hole when a lag screw or bolt (sold separately) is inserted. Once the anchor is inserted into a drilled hole, the fastener passes through the item being mounted and into the anchor, holding the item and anchor in place within the mounting material.
